Newcastle Port Corporation is the proud strategic manager for the Port of Newcastle. The Port of Newcastle has 17 operational berths, 6 allocated to coal and 11 allocated to general cargo.

The port is segmented into five precincts based on land with similar usage, issues and constraints.

Carrington Precinct is the port’s general cargo and marine activities precinct. It includes a range of operational activities including the pilot helicopter base, Svitzer tug base, as well as boat building, dry-dock and ship repair operations.

This strategic area contains a number of trade-related covered and open storage areas available for lease.
